Court code
Your DMV court code
Most California counties give each traffic courthouse its own five-digit DMV court code, which matches your completion to your case. Los Angeles County has one code for all of its traffic courthouses.
That code is 19463, filed under the Metropolitan Courthouse name. It tells the DMV system which court receives your completion, and it does not mean your case is heard at Metropolitan. The Place to appear on your ticket shows the courthouse that handles your case.
Mirai Traffic School asks for your court and code before the final exam. Every Los Angeles County ticket takes 19463, whichever courthouse your ticket names.

Your case
Find your case, then ask for traffic school
Finding your case
The front of your ticket carries the citation number, the issuing agency, the date and time issued, the violations and where they happened, the issuing officer, the Place to appear and a court phone number. The court asks you to read it closely, because you need that information to handle the ticket.
The court mails a courtesy notice as a service, not because the law requires it, once your ticket is entered in its traffic system. The notice shows the fine, the amount due for traffic school if you are eligible, any correctable violation amount, and your options for a trial or an arraignment. If it never comes, you must still act by the due date. The court's traffic pages link its online ticket search, which finds a ticket by license number or ticket number.
For help, the court sends you to the courthouse listed on your ticket, and the countywide Traffic Call Center at (213) 633-6300 takes infraction citations issued anywhere in Los Angeles County. The court's question page counts 16 traffic locations, and its courthouse list, as archived on February 19, 2026, names the 17 buildings above.
How to ask for traffic school
Your courtesy notice lists the ways Los Angeles County Superior Court takes a traffic school request, and the court's traffic school page explains each one, including asking at your arraignment if you are eligible. The court says checking eligibility is your job.
You pay the bail on your notice plus a non-refundable traffic school processing fee. The court sets both, and the notice and the traffic school page show the amounts. If you are not eligible and attend anyway, the court reports the conviction and refunds nothing.

From citation to certificate in Los Angeles County
What Los Angeles County Superior Court does with your ticket, step by step:
- 1
You receive a citation
The ticket names the Place to appear and a due date. The courtesy notice follows by mail, but the due date holds even if the notice never comes.
- 2
You check the court's rules
The court asks for a valid license, no traffic school for a ticket issued within 18 months of this one, a moving violation that carries only one point, no more than 25 mph over the limit, and no commercial vehicle or hazardous material.
- 3
You ask the court
Ask the way your courtesy notice describes, before its due date, and pay the bail and the processing fee the court sets.
- 4
You finish a licensed course
The court sets the date to finish and allows one extension when you qualify. The extension option appears in the court's online services only when your ticket qualifies. Mirai Traffic School is licensed by the DMV as E0756 and costs $24.99.
- 5
The court receives your completion
The school sends your certificate to the DMV electronically, and the court downloads it from there. Look up your ticket afterward to confirm the court has it. If the certificate is not in by the due date, the court closes the case and a conviction goes on your record.
