Court code
Your DMV court code
Every California traffic court has a five-digit DMV court code, and the code tells the DMV which court gets your completion. Your citation and courtesy notice name the court, and the code belongs to it.
Plumas County Superior Court hears adult traffic at one building, the Plumas County Courthouse on Main Street in Quincy, under DMV court code 32100. The court lists no other location, so a ticket written in Portola comes to the same courthouse. The DMV list gives juvenile traffic its own code, 32651, and the court's Traffic Division handles juvenile traffic in the same building.
Before the final exam, Mirai Traffic School asks you to confirm your court and its code. For an adult Plumas County ticket, choose Quincy and 32100.

Adult and juvenile traffic, and other minor violations of state, county and city ordinances
Pin 1 on the map, at 520 Main Street in downtown Quincy. The Traffic Division here handles adult and juvenile traffic, along with other minor violations of state, county and city ordinances, such as speeding, using a cell phone while driving and expired registration. The whole Superior Court works from this building, so criminal, civil and family matters are heard here too. The Criminal/Traffic line is (530) 283-6232. Street parking surrounds the courthouse on Court Street, Jackson Street and Bradley Street, and more parking sits in Dame Shirley Plaza across Court Street. The present courthouse was completed in 1921 to a design by architect George Sellon. Plumas County was formed in 1854, and its first courthouse was a log building from H.J. Bradley's American Ranch.

Your case
Find your case, then ask for traffic school
Finding your case
The citation is your first record. The court asks you to read both sides and note the citation number, the date of the citation, the violations and the place and time you promised to appear. The court then mails a courtesy notice to the address on the citation. It shows what you owe, whether you must appear and the deadline to deal with the ticket.
The court says the notice and its traffic page answer most questions. If the notice has not arrived before the appearance date at the bottom of your ticket, call the court at (530) 283-6232. You must respond to the citation whether or not a notice comes.
How to ask for traffic school
Your courtesy notice shows whether traffic school is open to you, and the court's traffic page explains how to take it. Plumas County Superior Court asks you to pay the bail on your citation plus its traffic school fee before your appearance date, and it will not accept your certificate until both are paid. The court sets the fee and the time to finish, and the notice and the traffic page show them.
The court's contact address is Plumas Superior Court, 520 Main Street, Room 104, Quincy, CA 95971. The school you choose charges its own fee on top of what the court collects.

From citation to certificate in Plumas County
What Plumas County Superior Court does with your ticket, step by step:
- 1
You receive a citation
Read both sides of the ticket and keep it. The courtesy notice follows by mail.
- 2
You check the court's rules
The notice gives your initial eligibility. The court asks for a valid license and no traffic school in the past 18 months, and a clerk cannot allow it for speeding 25 or more miles over the limit, an alcohol or drug violation, or a violation worth more than one point.
- 3
You pay the court
Before your appearance date, pay the bail and the court's traffic school fee the way your notice describes. The court sets both, and it will not accept a certificate before they are paid.
- 4
You finish a licensed course
The court sets how long you have to finish, and your courtesy notice and its traffic page show it. Choose a school from the DMV list the court links. Mirai Traffic School is licensed by the DMV as E0756 and costs $24.99.
- 5
The court receives your completion
Once the court has your certificate, it closes the case and reports it to the DMV as a confidential conviction. The court makes delivery your responsibility, so check with the clerk that the certificate arrived on time.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
What drivers ask about Plumas County Superior Court.
The statewide rules
This court, not the school, grants traffic school under Vehicle Code section 42005, and you pick any DMV-licensed school. A completed course keeps one conviction in 18 months confidential under section 1808.7. Read the full statewide rules on our California traffic school rules page.
Interpreters and language help
The court's pages do not describe an interpreter service for traffic cases, so ask the Clerk's Office at (530) 283-6232 well before your date. For a disability accommodation, the court uses form MC-410, which the Clerk's Office also hands out. The court's home page links the statewide self-help center in English and Spanish. Mirai Traffic School's course runs in English, Spanish, Japanese and Russian.
