Court code
Your DMV court code
Every California traffic court has a five-digit DMV court code. It matches your completion to your case at the right court. Your citation and courtesy notice name the courthouse, and the code belongs to that courthouse.
Riverside County splits its traffic courts into two regions, and the court tells you to give the school one of two codes. The Western Region, Banning, Corona, Moreno Valley and the Southwest Justice Center in Murrieta, uses 33460, and the court lists Hemet and Temecula tickets there too. The Desert Region, the Larson Justice Center in Indio and Blythe, uses 33450.
Before the final exam, Mirai Traffic School asks you to confirm your court and its code. Pick the courthouse on your ticket, and the code follows from its region.

The traffic division handles juvenile cases that involve only infractions. A minor who must appear comes with a parent or legal guardian. Every other juvenile case, including a non-traffic misdemeanor, goes to Juvenile Court.
Your case
Find your case, then ask for traffic school
Finding your case
You need your case or citation number to schedule a court date. It is on the citation or in the upper right corner of your courtesy notice, and if you have neither, the court says to search its records on its website. The court's traffic page is the place to start online, and it links the court's own case search, which shows available case data without a trip to the courthouse.
If you miss the date on your ticket, the court mails a Failure to Appear or Failure to Pay notice to the address on the citation, and it may add a civil assessment and a DMV hold. The court presumes a mailed notice was received, so act on the date on the ticket.
How to ask for traffic school
Your courtesy notice shows what you owe, and the court's traffic page explains each way Riverside County Superior Court lets you sign up for traffic school. You can also sign up in person at any of the six traffic courthouses. A request by mail goes to the Payment Processing Center, 505 S. Buena Vista, Room 201, Corona, CA 92882, with your citation number.
If your ticket also has a correctable violation, the court says you must resolve the moving violation when you send the proof of correction. Any law enforcement office can sign the back of your citation, and the court does not accept a proof of correction once the fine is paid.

From citation to certificate in Riverside County
What Riverside County Superior Court does with your ticket, step by step:
- 1
You receive a citation
Keep the ticket, because it carries your citation number and the courthouse. A courtesy notice follows with the amount due and marks any mandatory appearance.
- 2
You check the court's rules
You may attend for a moving violation of the Vehicle Code if you have not attended traffic school for another violation in the past 18 months, were not over 25 mph above the limit, were not in a commercial vehicle, were not cited for alcohol or drugs, and face no charge that needs a mandatory appearance.
- 3
You ask the court
Sign up the way the court's traffic pages describe and pay what your courtesy notice shows for traffic school. The court sets its traffic school fee, and the notice and the traffic page show it.
- 4
You finish a licensed course
Give the school your region's code, 33460 or 33450. Mirai Traffic School is licensed by the DMV as E0756 and costs $24.99. The court warns that attending while ineligible means the conviction is reported and no fees are refunded.
- 5
The court receives your completion
Complete the course and one conviction in any 18-month period stays off your driving record. The court sets how long you have, and its traffic page explains how to ask for more time.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
What drivers ask about Riverside County Superior Court.
The statewide rules
This court, not the school, grants traffic school under Vehicle Code section 42005, and you pick any DMV-licensed school. A completed course keeps one conviction in 18 months confidential under section 1808.7. Read the full statewide rules on our California traffic school rules page.
Interpreters and language help
The court provides a free interpreter in criminal, traffic and juvenile cases. Email the Interpreter Request Form to the court's Interpreter Services Division or hand it in at the clerk's office, with as much notice as you can before the hearing. When no certified or registered interpreter can be found, an adult family member or friend may interpret at your request to avoid a delay. Mirai Traffic School's course runs in English, Spanish, Japanese and Russian.
